For teens in grades 6-12.

It's gettin' 80's in here! Show off your baking skills in the Stranger Things Bake-off! Cash prizes will be awarded. See details and rules below.

1st place winner will receive $50
2nd place winner will receive $25
3rd place winner will receive $15
Honorable mentions will also be given out.

Rules:
1) Your cupcake or cookie must include a special ingredient. You must come to The Hive starting on June 1st at to June 14th at 8pm to pick up your special ingredient.
2) If you do not pick up a special ingredient, you will not be able to enter your cupcakes or cookies  for judging.
3) You must make and bring 1 dozen cupcakes or cookies to be judged.
4) Please bring your recipe with your cupcakes or cookies. All ingredients must be listed.
5) Your recipe MUST be original. You cannot use a box or pre-made mix. Slice and bake cookies will also be rejected.

Judging Criteria:
1) Your cupcake or cookie must relate to the theme, which is the Stranger Things tv show, or the 1980's.
2) Creative use of the special ingredient will be highly considered. In other words, if your ingredient is marshmallow, don't just stick a marshmallow on your baked goods.
3) TASTE- if it doesn't taste good, you're probably not going to win. Taste your cupcakes and cookies as you make them!
4) Presentation- the way they look visually, as well as how you bring them for judging.

All baked goods must be dropped off at the library on June 17th between 1:00-1:30 PM to Meeting Rooms A&B. Awards ceremony begins at 2:30 PM. Remaining items will be open for the contestants to taste.
